TOP ROW: Fairburn, Owen, Hall
MIDDLE: Snowdon, Hitchmough (Capt), Arrowsmith, Bond, Hand
SEATED: Walker, Parry, Cummins, Chatterton, Rodgers.
Recently discovered in the Brotherly Society archives, this photo had the names listed on the back. It is doubtful that any of these lads are still around, but someone may remember them.
FOOTNOTE (19 May 2009) - James Hitchmough's son Dave was amazed to see this picture and got in touch with us. James was later to become President of The Brotherly Society and was involved in the presentation of the main school gates on the School's 250th anniversary in 1958.
Dave very kindly sent us the above picture. Dave's father is seen here around 1928/9 with his grandmother. The uniform is the Loyal Lancashire Regiment, which is the regiment his dad was in. He (Dave's grandad) was one of Kitchener's 'Old Comptemptables' and was killed at Ypres in November 1914.
